THE ROLE OF JOB SATISFACTION IN MEDIATING THE EFFECT OF PROMOTION ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE

Abstract

This study aims to prove the effect of job promotioon on employee performencewith job satisfaction as an intervening variabel for employess of the food, agriculure and fisheiries departemen of Wonosobo regency. This research is a quantitative research. For the population in this study were all civil servants of the food, agriculure and fisheiries departemen of Wonosobo regency. The sampling technique uses a probability technique, namely census sampling which is based on dataobtained in interviews, with a total sample of 121 respondents.The data collection technique used a questionnaire which was distributed offline. The data analysis technique used to answer the hypothesis in this research is to use data quality test, SEM data analysis test, hypothesis testing, and coefficient of determination.

 The results showed that the partial t test showed that the variables of job promoton and job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on the work performence of the employees of the food, agriculture and fisheries departement of Wonosobo regency. The variabel of job promotion mediated by job satisfacton also has a positive and significant effect on teh work performance of the employees of the food, agriculture and fisheries departement of wonososbo regency.
